Jobs Completed:- I made an Excel Spreedsheet listing all the props required for the film which total comes to about 200, with there frequency, scale and specific details. I also incorporated a construction tracking section, with the assigned maker, construction check, and completion per prop. Along with this i incorporated the props which i have purchased from dolls house miniature sites- tracking each props purchase, arrival, appropriateness for the film.
- Organised FULL team production meeting on tuesday at 4.15pm in third year/ stop-motion studio.
- I have bought approximately 50 potential props from various dolls house miniature internet shops. The main purchases have come from Bromely Craft Products, Shepherd Miniatures, SPminiatures, Maple Street Miniatures ad Delph Miniatures. I know some people would consider it cheating to do this and believe me I would love to make all the 200 props from scratch- but practically thats not going to happen, due to our short schedule, lack of experience, and lack of man power. Such props like the syringes needed for the hospital scene would have been so ridiculously hard to make considering how small an detailed they would have to be to stand up to the close up shots we need. However we do not have the luxury of being able to buy all our props this way as the dolls house miniature scale is set to 1/12- far too small against the scale of my models. This means that all furniture has to be made from scratch- beds, wardrobes, tables etc, but for smaller items such as books, and medical supplies can afford to be a little out of scale.
